Spotlight on Margot Esquerre, Team Leader in Production at Ennolys
What was your academic and professional background before joining Ennolys?
I did a DUT in Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering in Périgueux, followed by a professional Bachelor’s in a work-study program. I joined Ennolys shortly after graduating.
You started in 2015 as a fermentation technician. Do you remember your first impressions?
I joined on October 1, 2015, and worked as a fermentation technician for 7 years before becoming a team leader in 2022. I was impressed by the size of the tanks and the amount there was to learn.
What was your onboarding/training like before becoming fully autonomous?
My training lasted about 4–5 months. I shadowed two different team leaders during that time.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The constant movement and how no two days are alike. Also, the work schedule offers good time off.
Tell us a fun story from your job or workplace.
I was one of the first women in production back in 2015—so 9 years ago. We’ve come a long way since then, with nearly 20% of the production team now women. I’m currently the only female team leader. When will the next one join?
